All the love stories we have ever heard are testament to this truth: Romeo and Juliet, Lailā and Majnu, Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa. Nothing could stop Rādhā from being with Kṛṣṇa – not shame, not criticism, not even the Yamuna River in full flood. Because where there is love there is no fear. And where there is no fear, we become free. But unfortunately, most of us do not live in love, we only fall in love. To fall in love is easy, but to live in love from moment-to-moment requires us to love that which is true and permanent; to love God.Make an effort to build a personal relationship with God. At the least, discover the strength of faith to believe that God has sent you here to fulfill a special purpose. If you are unable to fulfill that purpose, then He has to; let Him do it. This attitude will allow you to live in love..Give your love to the Highest: do everything for His sake and let Him work through you..The highest duty of all human beings is to know the Truth, to realise the essential Self. To discover your highest nature is your ultimate purpose in life; anything that opposes that purpose cannot claim your allegiance. When your vāsanās (tendencies) and likes and dislikes throw obstacles in your way, free yourself from conflict and confusion through selfless action and steadfast adherence to duty.Approach your duty with decisiveness and conviction. Work with commitment and devotion; develop the discipline that ensures cooperation both from others and your own inner personalities. And remember that no duty is arduous or difficult if your motivation is love. Give your love to the Highest: do everything for His sake and let Him work through you. Then all success and all failure belong only to Him, and you will be free to storm the world with love.
