Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)
How much time do you spend with yourself every day? Out of twenty-four hours, surely you can spare twenty minutes of exclusive ‘me’ time. Sit comfortably in a quiet place. Meditate, or simply close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Such quiet 'me' times, are powerful rejuvenators. Try and see for yourself.
Taurus (Apr 21 – May 21)
Green is a pleasing, calming colour and soothing for the eyes. Especially when it comes from living plants. Add some greenery to your room. Even a small tulsi plant or the easy-to-grow money plant, in a beautiful ceramic pot can add the needed green to your environment. They are easy to maintain too.
Gemini (May 22 – Jun 21)
How organised or disarrayed our room is, is a reflection of the level of disorganization and confusion in our mind. I’m not sure how it works, but it works for sure – tidy up your room, get rid of unwanted stuff, arrange everything in a simple easy to access manner. Once you’re done, become aware of how you feel.
Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 23)
Begin your day with two minutes of silence. Thereafter thank God for all you are and all you have. Feel gratitude in your heart for everything that you have going for yourself. Think of one person that you feel grateful for and would like to thank. Feel it. Gratitude brings us peace and abundance.
Leo (Jul 24 – Aug 23)
As long as our life’s mantra is ‘giving more than we take’, there is nothing to worry about and nothing that could lead to regrets. Every night, before you turn in, spend ten minutes analysing your day. Did you give more than you took? Or did you just take and not give at all? Think.
Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 23
Most the thoughts we think every day, are nothing but a repetition of previous thoughts. There’s a very small percentage of new thoughts every day. This is because we spend most of our time either worrying about the future or regretting the past. The key to a happier life is living in the present, in the here and now.
Libra (Sep 24 – Oct 23)
Engage in some form of creative work every day. Whatever that interests you – painting, craft, origami, quilling, sketching – anything that involves your hands and mind. Creative work is like a booster shot for the brain. It charges up the nerve cells and forms new connections in the brain, both of which are important for a healthy brain.
Scorpio (Oct 24 – Nov 23)
Bounce back! The harder the fall, the greater is the bounce up. No fall is permanent. A drop is always, always followed by a rise. It’s all a matter of time. Be patient and wait for your time. the good thing about life is that change is permanent, nothing ever remains the same for long.
Sagittarius (Nov 24 – Dec 21)
Watch a Baya weaver bird build a nest. It scouts around looking for the perfect materials. Very meticulously it then places each string, straw to weave together a nest. The right amount of effort begets an equally good outcome. If you are finding life stagnating, analyse whether you are putting in enough efforts.
Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 20)
If you always do what you always did, you will always get, what you always got. If you want a change in life, obviously you need to change what you are doing. To get oranges, one needs to plant orange seeds and nurture them. No sense in complaining about the lack of oranges in your garden when you haven’t planted any!
Aquarius (Jan 21 – Feb 19)
There is no greater sin than not living up to the potential that one is endowed with. Each one of us is bestowed with qualities and skills, though they may not be evident. It is up to us to discover what they are and then utilise them to the fullest to achieve mastery in them.
Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)
Whatever you do, give it your best shot. That is the secret to success and satisfaction. It’s always better to fail after having tried one’s best than to achieve mediocre victories. Ultimately success is in the feeling of satisfaction of having done one’s best without holding back.
