Lakhimi Baruah is an Indian banker, social worker and founder of Assam's first women-run co-operative bank Konoklata Mahila Urban Cooperative Bank for Women. Started with 52 promoter members in 1990, today it serves thousands of women and low-income workers in Assam. She was awarded the Padma Shri in 2021 for her efforts towards the financial empowerment of women.
