Chinmaya Yuva Kendra

Sundaram Verma hails from the dry and arid district of Sikar in Rajasthan. Observing the lack of vegetation in his region, Verma developed a unique method of agro-forestry that involves using only one litre of water for every sapling in its growing phase. By this method, he has nourished over 50,000 trees in Sikar. A science graduate, he spurned job offers to fine-tune his growing techniques in his farmland and inspire other farmers to do the same.
