As a part of Sri Adi Sankaracharya Jayanti Celebrations 2023, on 25 April 2023, the members of Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth and Chinmaya International Foundation (CIF) Veliyanad, jointly organised the ‘Chinmaya Bike Rally’ from Veliyanad to Kalady. Br. Sudheer Chaitanya (National Council Member, All India Chinmaya Yuva Kendra) and Dr. Anil Narayanan N. (Assistant Dean, CVV) coordinated the event. The riders gathered at CVV—in front of the Melpazhur Mana illam, the maternal home and birthplace of Adi Sankaracharya—and began their journey to Kalady, the paternal home of Sri Adi Sankaracharya.
Prof. Ajay Kapoor, honourable Vice Chancellor of CVV, and Swami Viviktananda, the Regional Head of Chinmaya Mission, Kerala, jointly flagged off the rally at 2.30 PM. The rally was aimed at empowering youth and educating them to take inspiration from Sri Adi Sankaracharya who contributed greatly to the country as well as to the whole world at a very young age. The riders displayed top-notch skills with their super bikes while covering a distance of 80 kilometres. The bike rally came to an end by 5.30 pm. The rally was a new experience for the participants who had a great and thrilling experience.
