Gurudev conceived the shrine with national unity and harmony as the theme. Situated in the north of the country, the temple would have South Indian architecture. In those days, transporting all the material, with granite pillars from the South and building it with the help of village boys—the vanar sena—was a herculean task. But Sri Ram’s temple was built. Since the funds came from the first Hanuman Mastakabhishekam, Gurudev specified, “This temple belongs to nobody but Sri Hanuman. He built it for his Master.’Even though all five elements serve us constantly and we need them all, we cannot survive, even for more than a few minutes, without air. Even while asleep, we have to breathe.Thank God there is no air tax! During the COVID-19 pandemic, we saw the devastation and the large number of deaths caused by the unavailability of oxygen cylinders. Despite this, we neither value air’s importance nor recognise and express our gratitude towards it. However, Pavan Devata and his son do not differentiate between a saint and a sinner, between the people from Ayodhya, India, China and Pakistan, between the tiny mouse, the majestic elephant and a human being. The flow of Pavan Devata gives life to everyone, leaving behind cleanliness, fragrance and purity in its path.
