Flying back from Lanka, Hanuman lets out a jubilant roar when he sets eyes on Mount Mahendra. Hearing him, the monkeys race to the summit of the mountain. On his arrival, Hanuman delights all the monkeys, Prince Angad and Sugreev with an account of all that took place in Lanka. Together, everyone then rushes to Prasravan, the thickly wooded forest where Sri Ram dwells. Seeing them, the ascetic prince and Lakshman eagerly enquire about Sita’s whereabouts and condition. The monkeys urge Hanuman to step forward and answer. Hanuman offers his salutations, with his head bowed in reverence, and narrates the happenings in Lanka. Being a master in the art of expression, Hanuman speaks as though he were Sita herself, reciting in exact words what she has said. Hearing him, Sri Ram’s heart rejoices. With tears in his eyes, he praises Hanuman, proclaiming that no other person in the world could have achieved what he has accomplished. The delighted Lord Ram moves forward and gathers Hanuman in a warm embrace, like one would hold a dear brother.Sri Ram always performs each action with such brilliance and mastery that he attracts similar people towards him. He is noble and virtuous, inspiring the best in others. We must remember that it is not important how lavishly we adorn ourselves, but far more crucial that our internal character be strong. The one who is truly well adorned, is one who remains in the company of noble, brilliant and effulgent people. The company one keeps is an indicator of how evolved one is and a true decoration of one’s self.Sri Ram attracts people of the highest virtues and accomplishments around him. Hanuman adorns Lord Ram through each moment; he provides whatever Ram needs. Hanuman, ever ready to serve with utmost devotion, accomplishes any task necessitated by Sri Ram. Mighty, noble, righteous, intelligent and humble, Hanuman was a master in all spheres of life.
