Think Before you Act!

'Hi VR. This is my cousin Raj. He has recently started working at an MNC but is going through some issues there. Thought he might find some solution in Ramayana,' said Manav after switching on the app.'Hi, Raj. Glad to meet you. Can you share what challenges you are facing?' asked VR.'Wow. This VR is so 'human-like', Maanav. Well, I started working recently and I have tried to follow whatever instructions they give me but then I still end up making mistakes. I am so eager to create a good reputation at my new job, but things don't seem to be working out' explained Raj.'Sorry to hear that, Raj. While carrying out instructions, we often meet new challenges. In such situations, we need to think before we act. Hanumanji has demonstrated this many times in the Ramayana. I can share them with you if you wish,' replied VR.'Sure!' said Raj.'While Hanumanji only had the brief to find Sita, when he reached Lanka and saw Sitaji’s condition there, he realised that he should not go back without meeting and speaking with her. Time was of the essence, and he had to meet with her before the Rakshasis woke up. Yet he did not rush into it. He thought carefully about what he must do. He realised the first thing to do is to tell her the glory of Ram as it would reassure her and also make her trust him. Further, he even used a dialect that is spoken in Ayodhya so that Sita feels familiarity with it and understands that Hanuman is someone associated with Ram.'.'Really! I never knew about the dialect part' exclaimed Maanav.'Again, after meeting Sitaji, he could have left but he chose to stay and confront the Rakshasas so that he could put some fear into them. It also assured Maa Sita of the strength of the vanaras. He purposely allowed himself to be captured so that he could gauge Ravana and Lanka. None of his deeds were rash or reckless because he had a well-thought-out plan in his mind before acting out.''These are very interesting points, VR. Can you give me one more example of Hanumanji doing things like this?' quizzed Raj.'Definitely. During the fight with Ravana’s son Indrajit, Ram and Lakshman were tied up with poisonous serpents rendering them immobile. While everyone was panicking, Hanuman thought about the best option and immediately sought Garuda’s help. Garuda the eagle being the natural enemy of snakes drove them away by his mere presence. Thus, he did not wait for instructions but thought about how to resolve the situation and then acted on it.''So, be aware and gather more knowledge about the domain. Think carefully about what course of action to take and then act swiftly without wasting time. I think these are wonderful lessons for me to take back from these episodes of Ramayana. Thank you so much Maanav for introducing me to VR. I am going to request Uncle to install this on my phone too!' said a joyous Raj.'Happy to be of use, Raj. Until we meet again, thank you for using Ramayana Reboot!'
